Jennielyn Abrot

Jennielyn Abrot is the Owner/Producer of JAR Entertainment, an LA based management and production company. Prior to this, she worked as a Development Executive and Creative Executive for management and film financing/production companies where she oversaw the company's film slate; and led identification and pursuit of family brands for the company's first look deal with Universal Pictures. Abrot worked on several films with star-studded cast including Lovelace (Amanda Seyfried, James Franco); Solitary Man (Michael Douglas, Susan Surandon, Jessie Eisenberg); Death And Life of Bobby Z (Paul Walker, Olivia Wilde); Trust (Clive Owen, Catherine Keener); and As Good As Dead (Andie McDowell, Carey Elwes). She started her career as a Development Intern at Mandate Pictures. Abrot is currently in post-production (2023) on a film shot in the Philippines.
As a breast cancer survivor, Abrot was honored and named "Crucial Catch Captain" in 2020 by the NFL, Los Angeles Rams and Cedars-Sinai for their campaign to raise awareness and fight cancer. She was nominated as "Visionaries of the Year" 2022 by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In November 2023, Abrot was Head of the Inaugural FilAm Creative Film Festival, the first Filipino film festival in Los Angeles, which garnered over 800 guests its opening night at Occidental College. Born and raised in the Philippines, Abrot attended CalArts for Theater as a California Arts Scholar, and received her B.A. in Art History and Visual Arts, with emphasis in Film and Media Studies, from Occidental College.
